Come see the Dumont Tri-County YMCA’s Wellness Center!   Try out our NEW line of Precor selectorized machines and Matrix Strength leg press and smith machine. We, also, have HumanSport cable based trainers, Star Trac Multi-Station,  free weight benches, dumbbells, and fixed barbells. Our Wellness Center, also, has NEW cardiovascular equipment including Woodway treadmills, recumbent bikes, Concept 2 Rowers, a Concept 2 Ski ERG, and Peloton Bikes. We, also, feature various pieces of equipment from many of todays top equipment companies.

Orientations

Our wellness staff will introduce you to our equipment through three (3), free, one-on-one instructional orientations. Your first and second appointments will guide you through the selectorized weight circuit. The third orientation, which is optional, may be used to review the circuit or learn some various free weight exercises. ALL ORIENTATIONS MUST BE SCHEDULED.

 

Fitness Assessment

Before your first orientation you may wish to schedule an appointment for a fitness assessment. Appointments last approximately 30 minutes. Assessment areas include weight, body composition, cardio respiratory endurance, muscular strength and flexibility. Fitness Assessments are available by appointment only. It is recommended that participants have an assessment every 4 – 6 months to monitor progress. See Wellness Director for further details.  Fee:  $20

 

Biodynamic Body Composition Testing

This is one of the quickest methods of measuring lean body mass. The accuracy rate is within 1.5% of hydrostatic (underwater) testing. Please inquire with the Wellness Center Staff. Not recommended for pregnant women or people with pacemakers.

 

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

2 HOUR DELAY* 

All group fitness classes before 9:30am are canceled. Any classes after 9:30am are held as scheduled.

NO SCHOOL*

All morning group fitness classes are canceled. Evening classes are held as scheduled at the instructor's discretion.

*All delays/closures are followed from the Putnam County B.O.E.
